Marriott

How we scaled premium storytelling across Marriott’s portfolio

Designing a modular content system to support consistency, speed, and brand clarity across one of the world’s largest hospitality groups.

Marriott operates one of the most complex hospitality portfolios in the world — spanning brands, markets, guest segments, and experience tiers.

At this scale, the challenge isn’t content creation.
It’s coordination.

How do you maintain brand integrity, storytelling quality, and speed of execution across dozens of properties — without multiplying costs, complexity, or creative fatigue?

Client Context

The Strategic Challenge

Marriott’s digital ecosystem faces pressures that most hotel groups eventually hit:

1. Scale without dilution
As portfolios grow, storytelling risks becoming inconsistent — visually, tonally, and emotionally.

2. Campaign-led content doesn’t travel well
Assets built for one market or moment struggle to adapt across regions, platforms, and timelines.

3. Operational friction slows storytelling
New briefs, new shoots, new approvals — repeated again and again — reduce speed and increase cost.

The need wasn’t “more content.”
It was a smarter system.

The Strategic approach

We treated storytelling not as a creative exercise, but as operational infrastructure.

1. Group-level narrative alignment

We anchored all content to Marriott’s overarching brand standards — ensuring each asset felt on-brand while remaining flexible enough for local adaptation.

This allowed properties to express individuality without fragmenting the group story.

2. Modular content architecture

Content was designed as a system:

  • Hero assets for brand authority

  • Modular cut-downs for regional and platform use

  • Visual rules that ensured consistency regardless of market

Built once. Deployed many times.

3. Speed, reuse, and longevity

By designing assets with reuse in mind, Marriott could:

  • Reduce dependency on constant reshoots

  • Accelerate go-to-market timelines

  • Maintain quality at scale

what we created

A scalable storytelling framework designed for group-level deployment, including:

  • Cinematic hero content adaptable across multiple Marriott properties

  • Modular video assets built for social, digital, and campaign environments

  • A consistent visual and narrative language aligned with Marriott’s brand architecture

  • A repeatable production logic that supports long-term use, not one-off launches

Impact & Outcomes

The work enabled Marriott to:

  • Maintain storytelling consistency across properties and markets

  • Increase speed-to-market for digital activations

  • Reduce creative redundancy and reshoot dependency

  • Strengthen brand clarity across guest touchpoints

Most importantly:

Storytelling became easier to scale — without sacrificing quality.
